District heating and cooling systems have established their importance in most developed countries throughout the world. It is interesting to note that one of the biggest deals in the district cooling industry in the Middle East was struck between Actis and Dubai Investments-owned Emicool. Actis, acquired a 50% stake in Emicool at an equity valuation of $653 million and a corporate valuation of $1 billion. The deal represents a big step forward in meeting the increasing demands of the middle east district cooling sector.
